Many congrats to my friend Charlotte Kendrick, who has won 1st place in the folk category of the 11th Annual Unisong Songwriting Contest. Her song, 'Thank You' has always been a favorite of mine, and it's a well deserved winner. She performs with her husband, Dan, who is a ridiculously nice guy, and also a great upright bass player/harmony vocalist.

I let my wife hear that and she thought it was ridiculous. :)
I however, think it is awesome. Girls should write more songs about how awesome guys are. It seems like there are tons of songs by guys about how awesome girls are, and tons of songs by girls about how guys suck and cheat and are gonna get it... but hardly any songs by girls about how much guys rule. That is why, this song is awesome.
